Les nuits du château de la Moutte
After the artistic success of last season and its record attendance, the program had to be exceptional.
Six evenings and as many great artists will stop at the Moutte, including the sparkling Russian pianist Boris Berezovsky who will open the ball. A magical evening with the unrivaled Dee Dee Bridgewater and eight energetic jazz players will follow. The guarantee of an American evening that will make a date.
More intimate, the recital of one of the greatest sopranos in the world, Patricia Petibon, an evening gem for music lovers in love with great voices.
Before, the musicologist Nicolas Dufetel will make us travel between past and present. This unique place of the Château de la Moutte, fed by its distant echo, could it give birth to a future project?
Then, Renaud Capuçon, whose international career still extends, will produce an evening of pure chamber music, such as our festival 40 years ago, proposed to his listeners.
Finally, the beach of Canebiers, Simon Ghraichy, charismatic phenomenon to the career in "blow of cannon", will offer you a disheveled musical voyage where will mix South American and classical music.
At the end of this winter, our dear friend Didier Lockwood has left us. He was the only Jazzman, a crazy violinist who was so talented in crossing all the sound geographies, always supporting his friends, concerned with a blossoming for La Moutte, where we spent so many nights "remaking the world". His friends and fellow performers, Manu Katché and Richard Bona, jostled their agendas to pay him this tribute on August 4 in the Palm Grove of the Castle.
Dear friends, this galaxy of wonderful artists and the entire festival team, are looking forward to welcoming you and bringing you a few parentheses of happiness in the heart of the Saint-Tropez summer."
