It was in 1952, in a Parisian café, far from the beaches of Tropez, that the Giraglia Rolex Cup was born, straight out of the imagination of 3 men: René Levainville, Franco Gavagnin and Beppe Croce.
The principle of this event consists of 1 rally race starting from San Rémo in Italy on Friday evening at midnight and an arrival on Saturday in Saint-Tropez.
Participants will participate in 3 days of regattas (the “Giraglia Rolex Cup”) on coastal courses of up to 35 miles in the Bay of Saint-Tropez. This will be followed by a race off the coast of 243 miles (coefficient 2) starting from Saint-Tropez by veering the island of Giraglia in the North of Corsica and an arrival in Genova.
